July 2022 – Tea of the Month

Our July tea of the month brings you our Strawberry & Kiwi blend!

This tea is one of our very popular fruit infusion teas due to its particularly flavoursome character and versatility. We think it’s a beautifully balanced blend of kiwi chunks and pieces of dried strawberry alongside apple, hibiscus flowers, rosehip shells & citrus peel!

It’s a tea that makes for a totally delicious warm cup, but an equally tasty iced-tea on these hazy summer days. Simply brew, leave to cool and then pour over ice with some fresh strawberries and a sprig of mint for the perfect summer’s afternoon companion. If cocktails are your thing, then as a strong, iced brew, it can also act as a delicious, unique, and nuanced mixer for gin or vodka garden-party cocktails!

If it couldn’t get any better, this tea is not only a taste sensation, but also has health benefits due to its naturally occurring vitamin c content. Of course, this comes from its citrus peel content, but also the rosehip shells too! Rosehips are actually a fantastic source of vitamin c, with just 2 tablespoons of rosehips, providing 76% of our recommended daily intake!

So, with its natural sweetness & packed with vitamin content, we think this our Strawberry & Kiwi infusion blend is definitely worth adding to your kitchen store cupboard!

So much so, that we’ve put together a recipe for the perfect garden party gin cocktail for you below!!

1. Brew a fresh pot of Strawberry & Kiwi tea (we’d normally recommend 1tsp per person, but for a bolder, punchier mixer with a bit of oomph we’d say 2tsp per person!)

2. Leave it to cool before popping in the fridge to chill through properly

3. In the meantime, slice some fresh strawberries and kiwi discs ready for your garnish

4. Pop a handful of ice and your strawberry slices in your favourite glass and pour over 25ml of your choice of gin – we think a classic, simple, dry gin works best!

5. Top up with your iced Strawberry & Kiwi Brew and give it a good stir

6. Garnish with a kiwi disc and a sprig of fresh mint

7. Pop your feet up and enjoy!!
