Our Ceylon Dimbula loose tea brews to form an inviting golden-orange liquor when seen in the cup. The flavour is brimming with a freshness that leaves a clean feeling in the mouth once the tea has been drunk.
Ceylon teas are high grown. This results in a naturally smaller leaf than some other teas. However, this leads to a higher concentration of flavour, which produces a tea that can be drunk with great pleasure at any time of the day.
Grading: Orange Pekoe: main grade, consisting of long, wiry leaves without tips. (Orange Pekoe refers to the grade of leaf in this black tea.)
Ceylon is an old name for the Republic of Sri Lanka, which is a large tropical island situated in the Indian Ocean, just off the coast of India. Here, the influence of the Indian Ocean on temperature and humidity, along with the coolness provided by the high altitude mountainous regions, contributes to prime conditions for the growth of high-quality tea.
