This Yunnan loose leaf tea originates from China. More specifically, and as the name alludes to, this tea is grown in the Chinese province known as Yunnan.
Yunnan is viewed as being “the garden of China” and has been producing tea for over 2000 years. Indeed, historical evidence suggests that it was here, in the Yunnan Province, where tea cultivation began.
This loose-leaf tea has a rare combination of a light aroma, robust taste and smooth aftertaste. The tea’s rare characteristics can be attributed to the ideal growing conditions that are found in Yunnan Province of China. Much of the region is situated on south-facing slopes of mountains, which results in more sunshine and, ultimately, a very mild climate.
Yunnan Province’s rugged terrain means that tea makes for an ideal crop as opposed to arable alternatives.
